Special Education

For students who need more individualized support, we are pleased to offer further assistance through our special education program. Carefully constructed to accommodate the needs of our most distinctive learners, Southside’s corrective approach features several intervention resources, including speech services, supplemental materials, and our school’s resource room. Our Tools for Success

Special learners require a broader level of understanding to gain achievement in the subject matters presented to them. Designed specifically for our special needs students, our effective supplemental instruction incorporates alternate strategies, such as specialized manipulatives and computer software programs. Using the Comprehensive Intervention Model (CIM), our teachers work with struggling readers so they don’t miss out on important classroom instruction or activities.
